{"id":3463,"date":"2023-01-06T13:52:04","date_gmt":"2023-01-06T12:52:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/multilang.deutsche-technion-gesellschaft.de\/management-board\/"},"modified":"2026-02-01T15:14:22","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T14:14:22","slug":"management-board","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/technion-gesellschaft.de\/en\/management-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Management Board"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The German Technion Society is a recognized non-profit association based in Hanover with its head office in Berlin since 2003. <\/p>\n\n<p>Its aim is to promote scientific links between Germany (especially German universities and non-university research institutions) and the Technion &#8211; Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa \u2014 the oldest technical university in Israel, and to support the work of the Technion both ideally and materially.<\/p>\n\n<p>These include:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the dissemination of information about the Technion in Germany<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the promotion of joint research projects as part of the cooperation between German scientists and the Technion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to promote the exchange of young scientists between the Technion and the Federal Republic of Germany<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the granting of scholarships to Technion students and to German students who wish to study abroad or do a research internship at the Technion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the non-material support of the Technion, e.g., through participation in the \u201cBoard of Governors\u201d (Board of Trustees) in Haifa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the material support of the Technion through contributions from membership fees and donations.<br\/>For example, the German Technion Society donated the<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cChair of the German Technion Society for Mechanics in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering\u201d endowed at the Technion <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>The General Meeting of the German TECHNION Society takes place once a year (usually in the fall).
