The Consolidator Grants are aimed at excellent researchers who are in the consolidation phase of their research career, 7–12 years after successfully defending their doctorate. The applicants selected for funding will receive almost 2 million euros for a period of 5 years. The total EU budget for this funding amounts to 595 million euros. Five young professors from the Technion were awarded the grant: Nadav Amdursky (Chemistry), Meytal Landau (Biology), Graham de Ruiter (Chemistry), Asya Rolls (Medicine) and Avi Schroeder (Technical Chemistry).
