At the beginning of 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Management will be renamed the Faculty of Data and Decision Sciences. For a number of years now, research and teaching in this department have gone far beyond the previous focus. While economics, statistics and business management were the focus of the department when it was founded in 1958, the topics have recently developed into probability calculation, computer-aided learning, data-based artificial intelligence and the application of epistemology.
