On October 7, 2023, Israel was hit by an unprecedented terrorist attack by Hamas on civilians and soldiers, on innocent women, men, and children. Our thoughts are with our Israeli friends and their families, we mourn with those who have to suffer the loss of loved ones and acquaintances.
It is a right enshrined in international law that the State of Israel may defend itself against this terror. Our solidarity goes out to him and his people in these difficult times. Our thoughts are especially with the Technion students and university staff.
Many of you are wondering how you can help in the current situation. At the Technion, more than 1,000 students, staff and professors were called up overnight as reservists without being able to prepare for deployment. In addition, their families now find themselves in unplanned life situations without protection and support.
