Before the start of the new academic year, 18 rooms were opened on the Technion campus, offering young mothers and fathers the opportunity to breastfeed and care for their babies. The Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, Prof. Adi Salzberg, had previously carried out an extensive survey, which revealed the exact need and scope for such rooms in all faculties of the Technion. In cooperation with the deans, the university administration and the finance department, the rooms were set up to support student mothers. Users also have access to a list of all rooms and their current use.
